Dainty Drapey Pearls

A few weeks ago I saw this drapey pearl necklace at my local J.Crew (my personal favorite is the pink pearl with a gold chain version they had in store).  I thought it was super cute, but thought the $45 price tag was a bit steep.  Instead of purchasing it, I thought "I could make that myself" and snapped a quick picture with my blackberry (while the SAs weren't looking).  I dabbled in jewelry making a couple years ago and still have a bunch of unused supplies.  From beads, chain and jump rings I already had, I created my own version of a dainty drapey pearl necklace.

 {threading pearls with nylon thread}

{pearl, glass and Swarovski crystal beads, sterling silver chain}

  1. this is so cute! i actually think yours is cuter than the j.crew one!

    totally makes me want to make jewelry! Craft day! =P

  2. Wow Mandy I'm super impressed! I like it super cute!

  4. omg, I almost got the first necklace, then someone checked it out before me and took it away from my cart :(

  5. pretty! love the mix of the pearls with the swarovski crystals.

  6. Hi,

    Dainty pear necklace is a lighter version of the multi-strand pearl necklace. The design of this necklace is quite beautiful and attractive. The method of making this necklace is really simple and we can add our own thoughts to make some wonderful designs. Thanks a lot.
